The Petigru Review chose my short story "The Watchers" for publication in their Fall 2025 issue!  The Petigru Review is a respected journal presented by the South Carolina Writers Association that includes fiction, non-fiction, poetry and art.

"The Watchers" is a short story set on a sea island on the Southeastern coast. The setting is similar to the location of my historical fiction novel, The Duel, but takes place in more contemporary times. The story explores the intricate relationship between a young woman, her family, their ancestors, and the island itself as they all transition into modern times.
